What is R/UC Express?
R/UC Express is your key to Redeemer University College. It is your identification card, meal plan card, campus debit card and allows you access to the Athletic Centre and the Peter Turkstra Library.
The card offers the convenience, reliability and security that comes with using one card for access to a full range of services on campus.
What funds are on my R/UC Express?
Dining Dollars Part of the Student Meal Plan includes a predetermined amount of Dining Dollars. Food purchases made with Dining Dollars are tax free, saving you up to 13% on purchases where applicable. Dining Dollars expire at the end of the academic year.
Convenience Cash Convenience Cash provides easy, cashless convenience for everyone. Funds can be loaded onto your R/UC card at the point of purchase and the funds are deducted from your account. Convenience Cash does not expire.
Meal plans Students living in residence are enrolled in one of the Redeemer Student Meal Plans. Presentation of your R/UC Express gives you admittance to communal meals and midnight breakfasts.
What is printed on my R/UC express?
-Encoded magnetic stripe with unique identification number
-Profile i.e. Student, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Community Member
-Photograph of card holder
-Datatel identification number
-Embedded library barcode
-HSR sticker
How can I add funds to my R/UC Express?
There are two ways to add money to your R/UC Express
1.
Deposit Online: Students and parents can make deposits to R/UC Express online. We accept VISA and MasterCard as payment methods.
2. Deposit in person: At the Campus Services office. Payments can be made in cash, debit, VISA, MasterCard or cheque.

Why should I use my R/UC Express?
It’s convenient! R/UC Express eliminates the need to carry cash and gives you the opportunity to “buy what you want, when you want”.
It’s fast! Simply swipe your card and go!
It’s secure! R/UC Express offers you the security and financial protection that comes with using multi-level identification numbers
You save! Food purchases made with Dining Dollars are tax free – you save up to 13%. Bonus cash can be earned on purchases of Convenience Cash of $125.00 or greater.
You manage your own account! You can add money to your account, check your account balance, and review history and transactions at your convenience
Lost or stolen cards:
If your card is lost or stolen, your account can be deactivated to protect the money. If you find your card after it was reported lost, you can reactivate it. There are two ways to deactivate/reactivate your R/UC Express:
1. Campus Services Office: Come to the Campus Services office located beside the Auditorium or call us at (905) 648 – 2131 ext. 4124 to deactivate your card. Reactivation requests are only handled in person and require at least one piece of photo ID.

Online: students can manage their R/UC Express account online 24/7.
If you require a replacement card, please come to the Campus Services office. A fee of $25.00 will apply.
