On Monday, September 20 at 7:00pm, Samuel Martin '05 will be reading from his new story collection titled This Ramshackle Tabernacle. Set in and around fictional villages in northeastern Ontario, these stories confront the reader with abuse, violence, and alienation, but also with reconciliation, faith, and perseverance.
The Alumni Office and English Department will be co-hosting this event. It will take place in Redeemer's Studio Theatre.
Samuel Thomas Martin is an alumnus of Redeemer University College and he received his MA in Creative Writing from the University of Toronto where he worked with David Adams Richards. He enjoys hiking, black coffee and exploring his new home in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where he lives with his wife Samantha and their dog Vader.
