In a team short of defenders, Ben Reid stepped into his role from his usual position as midfielder. He immediately became a starter and performed well. His effort was tireless and his attitude was always positive. Ben was the only rookie on the men's oudoor soccer team to start in most games and play minutes in every game.

Darren Hoogendoorn
Dareen developed into a team leader in the outdoor season. He cared for the development of the team. When needed, Darren stepped up and played a strong liason role between the team and the coaching staff. On the field, he played every minute of every game and gave his all every time he took the field. He was the dominate figure in the Royals defense.
Indoor Soccer
Rookie of the Year
Axel Hiemstra
Axel showed his true talent this year in the indoor season. A natural goal scorer, he contributed key goals in the team's tournaments. His biggest growth came when he started working more effectively with his team mates. Axel developed into a key starting striker for the indoor team.
Most Valuable Player
Taylor Prins
Taylor Prins was the indoor team's leading goal scorer. In addition to these measurable results, he also led the team in competitive attitude and intensity. His progress in terms of skill development, tactical effectiveness, and applying practice to a game was commendable. Prins has become a role model for all current and future soccer players at Redeemer.
