Liberal Arts & Science

At Redeemer, you will explore the relationship between faith, learning, and living. Redeemer University College offers over 40 different majors and minors leading to a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Education degree.

Because Redeemer is first and foremost a Christian university, every course you take will invite you to reflect on the implications of following God within your field of study. What does it mean to be a Christian in the field of environmental science? What does it look like for a scientist to be a Christian? How does a person of faith respond to literature that reveals a non-Christian understanding of life? How does an artist’s faith shape the way she perceives and represents the world?

Second, because Redeemer is a Liberal Arts and Science university, you will have the opportunity to take courses in a range of subject areas. You will specialize in your area of interest, building upon a solid foundation of courses from a wide variety of disciplines. Your degree program will include core, concentration, and electives courses.

Syd Hielema

Campus Chaplain, Part-time Instructor

Syd Hielema appreciates and enjoys the challenges that come with being Redeemer's first full time Chaplain. As Chaplain, Syd leads weekly chapels, teaches classes, meets with student worship leaders, and counsels students here at Redeemer.
