Biology Department
Whether in the classroom or in the lab working with live plants and animals, the biology major provides you with a strong foundation in the life sciences. As you investigate organisms and their relationship with one another and their environment, you will discover what makes Redeemer’s biology major unique: an encompassing appreciation for what God has created.

The courses you take will emphasize your responsibility in caring for your surroundings, while also making you aware of different beliefs that underlie the interpretation of biological data. Small class sizes, an on-campus greenhouse, the Whaley Teaching Garden, and a natural regeneration site provide hands-on learning experiences and great opportunities to work and to conduct research alongside your professors.
