Computer Science Department

The Certificate in Advanced Foundational Studies is designed for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and are interested in studying foundational issues of scholarship in light of the gospel.

To be considered for admission to the Advanced Certificate in Foundational Studies, a student must have completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with a cumulative grade point average of C- (60%).

This certificate program consists of 10 courses, and is available to both full-time and part-time students.

The courses required are as follows:

  • REL-101
  • REL-201
  • POL-122
  • INT-421 (Independent Study)
  • One of: PHL-201 or PHL-230 or PHl-232 of PHL-261
  • Two of: PHL-204 or PHL-240 or PHL-248 or PHL-342 or PHL-343 or PHL-345 or PHL-351 of PHL-355
  • One of: any senior Interdisciplinary Studies seminar 390-9
  • One Independent Study
  • One elective course
