The Certificate in Liberal Arts ia a one-year certificate program can help you to have an experience at Christian higher education before moving on to the next stage of life, or to provide additional courses in your educational profile.
This certificate is available to both full-time and part-time students. They each consist of 10 courses. If a student wishes to be admitted to a one-year certificate program, he/she must satisfy the admission requirements for the degree program. A student may receive only one certificate.
The courses required are as follows:
- REL-101
- PHL-201
- One of: HIS-105 or HIS-107 or HIS-109
- Three courses from: ENG-103 or ENG-104 or MUS-103 or THR-103 or ART-103 or Social Science courses (BUS, ECO, GEO, POL, PSY, SOC), a course in Mathematics or General Science
- One of: any additional course from HIS or the fourth bullet above
- Three of: any elective courses of your choice*
* Normally all courses for this certificate program are completed at the 100-level (with the exception of PHL-201). Upper-level courses may be substituted with permission of the Academic Advisors.
Students may progress from the one-year certificate program (except for the advanced one) into the degree program at Redeemer University College.
