BACHELOR OF EDUCATION

Redeemer is proud of the wide variety of teaching positions that graduates have secured. Graduates are employed in public school boards such as Hamilton, Halton, Waterloo, and Peel. Graduates are also employed in seperate school boards such as Hamilton, Waterloo, Wellington and Toronto. Also, many graduates are teaching in Christian schools in Ontario, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island. Other graduates are teaching overseas or are involved in graduate school.

At the Ontario College of Teachers review in December 2007, we were able to report that more than 90% of Redeemer B.Ed graduates are receiving work positions. This outstanding achievement includes full time contract teaching positions, Long Term Occasional (LTO) and supply work. Two key reasons for this success, even with the current teacher job market, are:
  • the significant number of graduates who find positions in Christian schools
  • the diligent efforts of our graduates (with the critical support of faculty) to find positions
