Environmental Studies Department
Melting ice, lead in toys, mercury in fish, crop failures – the news is full of these and other stories. Are you amazed by God’s good creation? Concerned about environmental and human health issues?

Environmental Studies is a field that looks at issues such as the use and abuse of resources, the effects of pollution, and species extinctions. Redeemer’s environmental studies program will help you fulfill your calling to love God and your neighbour by learning about the impact of humans on the environment and how we can live in ways that reduce our negative impact. As an environmental studies student at Redeemer, you will develop a comprehensive approach to environmental issues, addressing Biblical, ethical, economic political social and scientific aspects.
You can also become involved in the Green Team, a student club that works to promote stewardship within Redeemer’s community.

Redeemer gave me a good biology/chemistry basis which most environmental programs do not have. In addition, the professors provided guidance, friendship and example on how to live out your faith.
