Co-Curricular Highlights
Research
Students taking ENV 485 (Independent Study) have an opportunity to plan, carry out and report on a research project in an area on environmental studies. Several students have done a project and used their experience to apply for jobs for graduate school. You can also participate as an undergraduate student in a summer research project in environmental science with a faculty supervisor.
Co-op
A four month summer co-op opportunity exists for science majors at Redeemer.
Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies
You have the opportunity to study university-level courses, with transferable credits to Redeemer, off-campus for a part of your summer. Many different courses are offered, including aquatic ecology, environmental chemistry, environmental education, tropical agriculture and missions. Au Sable campuses are located in the Great Lakes Forest of northern Michigan, Puget Sound in the Pacific northwest and in South Florida.
Care for Creation
The Creation Care Study program is a high-caliber academic semester abroad connecting Christian faith with the most complex, urgent global issues of the coming decades. Courses on tropical ecosystems, ecosystems of the south pacific and sustainable community development are offered in Belize (Central America) and the South Pacific (New Zealand and Samoa).

Your Career
Redeemer gave me a good biology/chemistry basis which most environmental programs do not have. In addition, the professors provided guidance, friendship and example on how to live out your faith.
