Studies

There are a number of program options available, including BA (Humanities focus) and BSc (Science focus) majors in Environmental Studies, as well as minors in Environmental Science.

If you are majoring in Environmental Studies, you will take eight courses that include a number of specific environmental studies, geography, and philosophy courses. In addition, you will take field courses offered by Au Sable (in Michigan, Washington State, or Florida) or the Creation Care Study Program (in Belize or New Zealand).

In addition to the courses listed above, you will have the opportunity to pursue a humanities emphasis, with a focus of geography, economics, political science; or a science emphasis, with a focus on biology and chemistry.

The Writing Centre is available both for students who struggle with writing and for students who want to improve already strong writing skills.

Redeemer gave me a good biology/chemistry basis which most environmental programs do not have. In addition, the professors provided guidance, friendship and example on how to live out your faith.
