"The universe is before our eyes like a beautiful book
in which all creatures, great and small, are as letters to
make us ponder the invisible things of God"
Belgic Confession, Article 2

Discover how mathematics can lead you to wonder!

We approach mathematics as a discipline of beauty which has unending and wonderfully surprising applications. We want to help you develop strong techniques for solving problems and exploring theorems in the context of a world created and sustained by God—a world we are called to cherish and serve.

Here, you also have the unique opportunity to examine how mathematics applies to other disciplines in a liberal arts context—noting historical, cultural, and philosophical connections with mathematics.

Whether you are interested in a career in teaching, research, computer science, or geography, the mathematics major will help you expand your skills and open a wide door into the marketplace and into the world.
