Christiaan Teeuwsen received a Master of Fine Arts degree and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa, and the Solo Diploma [Uitvoerend Musicus] in organ performance from the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. During his tenure in the Netherlands, he studied with Harold Vogel, Ton Koopman and was associate to Klaas Bolt at the Grote of St. Bavo Kerk in Haarlem. Dr. Teeuwsen is currently Chair of Music at Redeemer where he teaches Organ, Harpsichord, courses in choral music and performance practice, and directs Concert Choir/Alumni Choir. He has recorded for the Selemas label (Bach meets Buxtehude: BaderOrgan/1641) and Magadis label (north-german organ works on a Schnitger Orgel/1702) and the Naxos label (The organ works of Georg Böhm: Reil Orgel/1999). In progress is The Organ Works of Vincent Lübeck - Naxos. Chris recently completed a CD recording of Dance repertoire for Keyboard, to be released in 2008. For the past six summers he has held Concert-Organist-in-residence (Holmen Fryxell and Schad Leege Chapel Organist endowed chair) for the Lutheran Summer Music Academy and Festival in Minniapolis, Minnesota. He is also Organist Choirmaster at MacNab St. Presbyterian Church in Hamilton. Chris is in his 21st year at Redeemer University College.
The 2007-2008 concert season has taken Christiaan to Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, and Seoul, South Korea.

Paul Thorlakson graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music in Performance. He received the Master of Church Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, with awards including the Certificate in Performance and an award for Pedagogy. His teachers have included Patricia Parr, Marieta Orlov, Maurice Hinson, and Ron Boud. Dr. Thorlakson has recently joined the faculty of Redeemer University College as Associate Professor of Music. He has previously taught at Simpson University in Redding, CA where he served as Department chair and Associate Professor of piano and church music. In this position he established and conducted the university symphony orchestra. He has held a number of full-time and part-time church music ministry positions. He is also Senior Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music. Dr. Thorlakson has concertized extensively as a solo pianist, chamber artist and accompanist, and in concerto appearances with orchestra. This is Paul’s second year at Redeemer, where he teaches theory, piano, and conducts the Redeemer Sinfonia.
