Mission Statement

“Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1).

Physical education at Redeemer is taught in the context of the abundant life God gives (John 10:10), and as a partial response to “subduing the earth” (Genesis 1:28). We try to nurture a fuller appreciation of how we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139), and how we can bring love and healing in a broken world, through human movement and physically active games. Human movement, play, game, sport and athletics are seen at Redeemer as the development and enjoyment of God’s gifts for people. It is our intention to understand better how this multi-faceted gift can be used in a way which pleases our Maker.

Without a doubt, the highlight of Tim’s experience at Redeemer was the Education Program.

Physical Education is a place to develop more than just your mind -- it is a place where the body, mind and soul intersect.
