Studies

Having a core of Religion courses will provide you with a Christian foundation for all disciplines of study. Here in the Department of Religion and Theology, we work together to explore the Christian worldview, the Bible, theology, ethics, contemporary religious issues, and the mission of the church.

We offer a variety of courses that will deepen your understanding of the Bible, theology, and mission. As a Religion and Theology student, you have the choice to do a minor (6 courses), a major (10 courses), or an honours major (16 courses).

In your first year, you will be introduced to Theology and Mission as a foundation for later courses. In your second year, you will further examine these topics in the context of Church History and current issues. In your senior years, you will be encouraged to examine world religions, ethics, and biblical hermeneutics. A number of pre-seminary students choose to take Greek or Hebrew as supplements for Graduate Studies.

You can also personalize the program to suit your interest if you want to do a focus in Mission and World Christianity or in Youth Ministry.

There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: 'Mine!'
