Co-Curricular Highlights

Our students have led and participated in many activities on and off campus, including:

• One week trip to New York City in November 2001— the only social work student team from Canada to work with the Salvation Army in direct services with victims of 9/11.

• One Week trip to Texas to work in clean up with Christian Reform World Relief Committee following Katrina devastation.

• Inner-city volunteers, Wayside Christian Mission, Louisville, KY

• March on Queens Park to protest poverty in Ontario, October 2007

• Social Justice conference on campus, January 2007 & 2008

• North American Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW) annual conventions (2003, 2005, 2006)

• Annual visits to correctional institutes, native centres, inner-city missions
