Theatre Arts Department

To study theatre and its various disciplines is to study the story of human experience from the most basic idea to the most complex performances of many ideas. The mission of the department is to introduce students to the idea that performance and performance history is rooted in the relationship that humanity has to God and His world. Studies include a survey of theatre history which includes workshops in design, movement and performance, as well as performance which challenges students to explore human physicality in relationship to other people. Vocal work arises naturally out of this. The study of history, text, writing and directing extend naturally from this beginning.
