Professor Louter has been the head of the Department since its founding in 1986. His current interests lie in areas to do with performance and faith, storytelling, and the ways in which the voice and body are revelatory both on and off-stage.

Professor Klassen’s special interests include: 19th century British Drama including the Social Comedies of Oscar Wilde, Theatre History, Renaissance Drama, Theatre and Social Justice, Production Management, Set Design, and being a theatre reviewing member of The International Shaw Society. She is also part of a group of theatre academics from Christian institutions that consider issues of theatre in the Christian academy.
