In the case of classes being cancelled due to professor sickness or emergency, notice will be posted on the classroom door. Students must wait fifteen minutes before leaving if an instructor fails to appear for class.

Cancellation of Classes or Exams due to Weather:

If classes for students and work for employees are canceled or postponed due to weather conditions, the University will announce this on CHCH TV (Channel 11) and on radio stations CHML (AM 900) and CKOC (AM 1150) by 6:30am and post it on Redeemer University College's home webpage by 6:15am.

If evening classes or work are canceled due to weather conditions on a day when daytime classes have been in session, the University will announce this in the academic building by 3:00pm and on the above TV and radio stations between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.  Evening instructors and employees will be called and an announcement will be put on the switchboard answering machine by 5:00pm.

During the exam period, the same policy will be followed, however, it is possible that only a morning, afternoon or evening exam block will be canceled - please note this when listening to the announcement.  Every effort will be made to communicate this as quickly and clearly through the phone chains that are in place with faculty and staff, by calling residences and via email.  Students who live off-campus should tune in on their radio, check the Redeemer website, or call the University's switchboard to stay informed.

In the event that an exam block is canceled, the exams will be rescheduled.
