Home  ::  Academics  ::  Registrar's Office  ::  Plan Your Program
Every year in March and April, all students meet with one of the Academic Advisors in the Registrar’s Office to discuss progress made over the past year, to plan out the coming years, and to register for courses for the next school year. The Academic Advisors are great resources for you – and can help you pull a program together – anything from a straight forward major and minor to a complex combination of disciplines. We’ll tell you how long it will take, what you’ll need to achieve and help you explore a variety of options to achieving your academic goals. But, we don’t pick your courses for you – in the end, that’s your job.

As the degree that you will graduate with will be yours, we highly recommend that you take an active role in planning your academic time at Redeemer. Every student at Redeemer has been assigned a faculty advisor who is available to meet with you about courses offered in their department and possible career paths that you can take, among other things. If you are unsure of who your faculty advisor is, you can find it on WebAdvisor or you can change your faculty advisor.

If you are beginning your studies at Redeemer in January, please contact us to make an appointment to Register for courses. If you are beginning your studies at Redeemer in September, please register for an FYI Day (held from June-August). While on campus, you will have the opportunity to sit down with an academic advisor who will help you register! Phone-in appointments are available to those who live more than three hours away.

The Academic Calendar is a great resource for planning your program. Don’t be afraid to poke around in it – you might be surprised at the information that is available to you in it!

Departmental Fact Sheets are also available for each major and minor – they’re handy check lists of all of program requirements for majors and minors. They are available on-line, as well as in print form just outside of the doors to the Registrar’s Office.

The Core Worksheet can help you figure out which core requirements you have and haven’t completed, and which ones you need to complete.

Once you have learned about your program and have some ideas, please feel free to contact
the Registrar’s Office to book an appointment with one of our Academic Advisors. We’re happy to sit down and make a plan with you!
