What the Writing Centre is
The Writing Centre is a FREE service for all Redeemer students. Students of every year, discipline and level of skill frequent the Writing Centre. Trained Writing Tutors are available for one-to-one instruction on all components of the writing process.
Here are a few examples of the ways we might help you:
understanding the assignment
organizing ideas
outlining and drafting
research strategies
revision
grammar questions
documentation and format
Our goal is to help you learn how to recognize problems particular to you and how to fix them. It’s not only foreign language learners who can benefit from a review of English grammar and proper essay citation methods; every writer, whether strong or weak, student or faculty, appreciates information, guidelines and instruction on the difficult process of writing. What the Writing Centre is NOT
The Writing Centre is not a proofreading service. While we will help you to understand and correct your most frequent grammar problems, we will not proofread your work and we do not guarantee that your paper will be “typo-free” after a session.

Can I bring my laptop instead of a hard copy?
We do prefer to work with a paper copy, but, if necessary, you can bring your laptop.
