Who are alumni?
Former students who have successfully completed 8 courses or more at Redeemer University College are alumni.
Alumni is the plural form of the word that is generally used to describe all former students but technically refers just to male former students.
Alumnus refers to a single male former student. Alumna refers to a single female former student. Alumnae refers to female former students.
How many alumni does Redeemer have?
As of May 2009, with a graduating class of 223, Redeemer has 3,269 alumni.
In Redeemer publications, the 2-digit year behind the name of an alumnus indicates their year of graduation. Alumni who did not graduate have the 2-digit year of when they left Redeemer behind their name, preceded by an "'x".
Why does Redeemer keep track of all of its alumni?
Alumni are a vital part of the Redeemer community, building on the relationships they developed during their time as students. Redeemer provides resources and vehicles to foster these relationships.
