You qualify as a mature student at Redeemer if:
  • you will be at least 21 years of age during the term you wish to attend
  • you have not attended school on a full-time basis for at least 2 years
  • you can demonstrate through letters of reference, college entrance test scores, and/or transcripts for any secondary school work completed that you have potential for academic success at university
The application process includes the undergraduate application package.  Students who are admitted on mature status will normally be placed on probation.  Before an admissions decision is made, you may be required to complete the ACT Residual Test to determine potential for success.  A satisfactory score on the ACT will result in removal from probationary status.
Mature students may be eligible for the Steven J. Kouwenhoven Mature Student Bursary - a bursary valued up to $3,000.  Eligibility depends on demonstrated financial need, as well as academic potential.  Your Financial Aid Application (.pdf) must be submitted by March 31 to be considered.  For more information about scholarships & bursaries, take a look at Financing Your Education.
