Passion. Dedication. Innovation.
Our students are passionate about performance arts, and it really shows. A number of our graduates appreciate theatre, stagecraft, and production opportunities at Redeemer as significant stepping stones to other pursuits—whether it is school for performance theory, directing, or dramaturgy.
We consider theatre as an exciting communal activity that brings artists and audience together. In classroom teaching and in production, these assumptions undergird the work that we do.
There are multiple independent performance projects happening on campus throughout the year and major mainstage productions twice a year (in November and March). Most recently, Redeemer has produced an original musical theatre piece based on a novel written by of one of our very own instructor emeritus and celebrated Canadian author, Hugh Cook.
Our state-of-the-art auditorium seats up to 1,000 guests and the Studio Theatre provides an excellent venue for independent student projects, for an audience of 100.
