What merchandise does the bookstore carry?
We carry all course materials for the academic program and a wide selected of general interest books from both the Christian and general book markets. We carry clothing and gifts that are crested with the Redeemer name and class rings. We also have a selection of art supplies, school supplies, small gifts, batteries, postage stamps, phone cards, computer cables, USB drives.
When will the bookstore post the textbook list?
We post the list each year in the middle of July. Here is the Current Textbook List.
Can I preorder and reserve my textbooks?
Currently you can only do that by sending an email to us at bookorders@redeemer.ca. Let us know which books from the booklist you would like to reserve, and we will put your name on them. Please also indicate if you want a used copy if one is available.
Does the bookstore carry used textbooks?
Yes, we carry used books that we have bought back from students and we also carry used books that we order from used book wholesalers.
Does the bookstore buy back used textbooks?
Yes, we buy back books that have been adopted for the next semester. We also buy back used books for a used book wholesaler. Buy back session occur at the beginning of each semester, and during exams in April.
What do I do with textbooks that the bookstore or the wholesalers don’t want?
The bookstore holds a used book drive for Better World Books, an organization that collects books for Books for Africa, who supply textbooks and funds to students in African countries. Any used textbooks that have been published in the last 5 or 6 years can be donated to this good cause. The collection takes place the last two weeks of April.
Does the bookstore do special orders?
Yes, we will order books in that we do not have in stock. Turn around time depends on the publisher and distributor.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept both Mastercard and Visa. Cheques are accepted with the proper ID and.. of course, cash and debit are fine too.
Does the bookstore have gift cards?
Yes, we have gift cards with a descending balance, that can be filled more than once and used for purchases.
