Our Child Care Centre was established in 1985 to provide high quality Christian childcare to the families of employees and students of Redeemer College. The Centre accepts children from infancy to school age. It is a non profit division of Redeemer College. Parents elect a parental advisory committee which is responsible to the College Administration. The Centre is licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services. Our programmes and policies are continually evaluated to reflect the requirements of the Day Nurseries Act as set out by the Ontario government. The Centre is licensed to provide care for two groups of children; a mixed group of infants and toddlers (0 30 months in the Rainbow Room, and a group of preschoolers (30 months and above in the Sunshine Room).
GOALS: It is our goal to provide a meaningful and enjoyable experience in a safe, Christ centred environment for the children. Our Centre is a place where challenges are met in a helpful, supportive atmosphere. The children are given the opportunity to explore and experiment at their own individual level, thus strengthening self esteem. The activities are designed specifically to meet the needs of the individual child emotionally, socially, physically, creatively, cognitively, and spiritually.
