CE-6001-A: ¿Habla español?  Conversational Spanish I
This workshop is dedicated to learning Spanish through grammar, skits, media and literature. There will also be role-playing in several situations that Spanish learners would find themselves into as they travel to a Hispanic country. The ten week sessions will be used to learn new vocabulary, have an introduction into culture, politics, religion and other themes that entail the Spanish region.  
Professor Ricardo Marroquín (B.A., M.A., B.Ed) has had the pleasure of teaching at Redeemer for 6 years. He is currently working on a Doctorate of Modern Languages focusing in Italian and Spanish literature from Middlebury College (Middlebury, VT). Professor Marroquín has starred in several plays at the University of Toronto and at Middlebury College, where the focus was Italian on stage from the Renaissance to modern plays. He now has the delight to teach Spanish in a creative and whimsical way.

CE-6001-B: Lei parla italiano?  Conversational Italian II
This course is dedicated to learning conversational Italian. The class will focus on situations that Italian learners would find themselves in as the travel to Italy. The weekly sessions will be used to learn new vocabulary, and to provide an introduction to Italian culture, politics, religion and other themes.

CE-6001-C: Hoe Heet U?  Conversational Dutch I
This introductory course is designed for students interested in learning to communicate at a basic level in the Dutch language. Students will be encouraged to speak Dutch through conversations, vocabulary and pronunciation exercises, reading comprehension, and some grammar work.
Rachel Turkstra became fluent in Dutch while living in the Netherlands for 7 years.  She holds a masters degree in Linguistics: Second Language Studies, and has taught English as a Second Language, Music, and Grade 4 (some in Dutch and some in English).  She loves speaking Dutch and is excited to help others learn to communicate in this wonderful language.
