PERFORMANCES
Numerous recitals as a pianist in both solo and chamber capacities and as an orchestral conductor. Highlights include:

  • Chamber music concerts with Gloria Dei (a sextet of professional opera singers from the Bay area) at the Mount Hermon Conference Center, Mount Hermon, CA, Dec 2003, 2005, Minneaplos, MN, August 2003, 2005, Memphis TN, August 2001
  • Concerto performance with the Shasta Symphony, Redding, CA in March 2005 playing Prokoffiev Piano Concerto No. 3. The Redding Searchlight review commented, “pianist Thorlakson deservedly received sustained applause for a magnificent performance….his playing was studied and polished.”
