To apply for the awards detailed below, submit a completed Application for Scholarships & Bursaries and any required supporting documentation to the Financial Aid Office by March 31, 2012. Awards marked by an asterisk (*) require the separate Financial Aid Application to be submitted.

Students must be officially registered in the Sociology major or the Sociology/Social Work major in the Registrar's Office to be considered for these awards.

Case Schouten Scholarship in Sociology/Social Work

Student entering their 3rd or 4th year
Minimum GPA of 9.0 in sociology and social work courses
Priority will be given to honours majors

Department of Sociology and Social Work Scholarship

Student entering their 4th year
Minimum GPA of 9.0 in sociology and social work courses
Priority will be given to honours majors

*Sam Miedema Memorial Bursary

Student entering their 3rd or 4th year
Student demonstrating financial need
Minimum GPA of 7.0 in sociology and social work courses
Submit a one-page statement describing the work you have done with persons with developmental disabilities or special needs and your career plans
