The increased academic challenge of university requires that students upgrade their study skills. To help in this process, the Academic Support Program offers students the following assistance:
  • Study Smart Seminars are held in September and January.  These are designed to help students upgrade their skills in areas such as goal setting, taking lecture notes, text reading, exam preparation and essay writing.
  • Tutoring is available in every subject. Current tutor lists are posted in all dorms and throughout the academic building. Tutoring services are free, and you may meet with a tutor as often as you feel the need.
  • Study Skills Troubleshooting: If personal help with some aspect of your study skills would be useful, feel free make an appointment to see John Krueger.
  • Methods and Motivation for University Studies: This non-credit half-course is available for students the Registrar designates as requiring additional upgrading in order to succeed in their university studies.
