Match Passion With Action

Air-Switch

Air-switch is a student led free-run/tricking group that focuses on developing increased understanding and control over one's body. Drawing elements from parkour, breakdancing and martial arts, students will learn to improve balance, efficiency and creativity in their movements. We provide a basis for students to gain mastery of techniques from basic movements that draw on one's spatial awareness, to complex maneuvres that push the limits of focus and coordination.

Tae Kwon Do

Our club aims to provide not only physical exercise, self-defense, and a healthy form of stress release, but also the provision of a group of individuals connected through the same goal and purpose: to be the best person that God wants us to be. All our students grow in their understanding of martial arts, of Korean culture and language, as well as develop a healthier lifestyle through active living, meditation, and healthier food choices.

H2O (Help To Others)

H2O is a group of students that create and facilitate outreach opportunities for the Redeemer student body. Some programs that we help get people involved with are the Toronto Mission Trips, The Living Rock, Deedz, Hamilton Missions Trip, City Kidz, etc. Other prospective opportunities that we are looking into are seniors ministry, Meadowlands outreach, and whatever other ideas you have for us!

Tuesday's Kids Club

Tuesday's Kids Club is a place where we provide the kids of downtown Hamilton with a safe and fun enviorment where they can spend their time after school. Here we teach them about the love of Jesus Christ through playing games and a Bible story at St. David's Presbyterian Church.

Green Team

The green team is an environmental club at Redeemer that works to establish a greener atmosphere on campus and within the surrounding community. We come together weekly to brainstorm and develop green plans. Some of our green plans may include activities such as: campus clean ups, environmental movie nights, environmental week, composting, local food trips to the market, and outdoor activities. Everyone is welcome.

Social Justice Team

The Social Justice Team is dedicated to making Redeemer students more aware of the justice issues around the globe. Information sessions and events are held through the school year. In addition, the Social Justice Team organizes a week of awareness in January. This week includes a single-day conference where students and members of the immediate and extended community gather for workshops and lectures on social justice.

Thursdays Kids Club

Kids Club is an awesome opportunity to get off campus and become involved in the lives of children ages 4-11 once a week. During our time with the kids, you will help lead and make crazy crafts, play games and sports in the gym, sing songs, and have fun snacks. Not only will you be given the opportunity to make a tremendous impact on their lives by your examples set in love, but you will also learn a lot from these kids and have fun while doing it!

CITB

Church in the Box is a student lead ministry at Redeemer. Once a month we meet together with the surrounding community for a worship service in the auditorium. The ministry is done by a three-part team. The band is responsible for leading the musical side of the worship. The Creative and Expressive Worship Team (CEW) leads the congregation in performances of dance, drama, and arts. The prayer team takes on the challenge of covering this ministry in prayer during the service as well as the weeks prior to the service. 

Living Rock Volunteer Club

Living Rock Ministries is a drop-in centre downtown Hamilton for high risk youth ages 14-25. They offer a variety of programs to assist youth ranging from food and clothing bank to career opportunities and life skills. Serving dinner, chatting with youth, running games or even heading over to the YMCA are all regular occurrences at the Living Rock. It is an opportunity to bless others while being blessed.

Mosaic Club

The Mosaic Club is club focused on interacting with different nationalities and cultures that are represented here at Redeemer. We meet once or twice each month for different activities such as American Thanksgiving , Chinese New Year, and international movie nights. Everyone, even non-international students, are welcome to attend and experience the different cultures Redeemer has to offer. 

Crown

Offering a wide range of opportunities for students to develop journalistic, interpersonal, and leadership skills, The Crown is Redeemers student newspaper, published six times a semester. If writing inspires you, consider joining the writing team.

Minstrel

Featuring poetry, fiction and art submitted by students, this creative writing endeavor gives students the experience of publishing and distributing their work. Students interested in contributing to the Minstrel by writing or producing, are invited to contact us.

Anno Domeni

Anno Domini is dedicated to producing a professional yearbook. Illustrating the many different activities at Redeemer, Anno Domini provides students with lasting memories.

Outdoors Club

The Outdoors Club is for students who enjoy fun and relaxing activities on the weekends. The activities serve to develop experience and skills to foster a community of encouragement through challenging physical and mental abilities. The Outdoors Club also helps deepen an appreciation for Gods creation.

New 2 Canada Kids Club

This club provides an opportunity fo Redeemer students to be involved in the urban life of Hamilton by providing childern of the area with a safe enviornemnt to play with other childern. Volunteers will gain experiences that will benefit their careers.

SISO

The purpose of this club ist provide Redeemer students withy an opportunity to participate in SISO homework clubs. Students work as tutors in these homework clubs, which are located in areas of Hamilton with high refugee populations and are meant to provide a source of educational support for new Canadians.

Indoor Soccer

The Redeemer indoor co-ed soccer league plays on Thursday nights each semester at Wentworth Arenas. We provide students with fellowship and the opportunity to play recreational indoor soccer. Everyone is welcome to join.

Kuyper's Cafe

Formed out of students' passion to deepen the understanding of a Christian worldview, Kuyper's Cafe meets to discuss how to truly realize Christ's Lordship over every square inch of life.

Dance Club

Ballroom Club exists to teach and promote Ballroom Dance of all forms in a healthy setting to God's glory in order to better explore God's gift of music and dance. 

Pro-life at Redeemer

The purpose of this club is to raise awareness about abortion and the right to choose. We organize events to ignite hearts and minds to save lives. We hope to encourage both discussion and eduaction about pro-life issues through guest speakers, planned events, and other things as well.

Best Buddies

Best buddies at Redeemer is dedicated to serving our community through one-to-one friendships between students and individuals with intellectual disabilities. Central to Best Buddies is our belief that friendship is important to the development of all people and that through these friendships, community can be enhanced and love shared.

Be the Voice

Be the Voice is dedicated to raising awareness about global slavery. As a club, we travel to high schools and churches to inform others about the reality of slavery in our world today. Through multiple fundraisers, we aim to raise money to support organizations already on the front lines abolishing slavery. We are a voice for the voiceless trapped in the chains of slavery.

Pro Magic Club

The Pro Magic Club is a home for those who prefer fantastic worlds and complex strategy to more conventional forms of sociability.  It is a fun night for geeks and fantasy buffs to get out among their own kind and enjoy some quality time playing a world-renowned strategy card game.  The main purpose is to fill a hole for students who do not enjoy the general activities of Redeemer such as dances and intramurals.

Hymn Sing

This club meets together in order to engage and worship God through the singing of hymns which reflect a more reverent and somber attitude of devotion towards God compared to many modern avenues of Worship. This club recognizes that different styles of worship are necessary, and reflect different aspects of the Christian life.
