Prayer Rooms
Built: 1/5/2007

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer,” writes Paul in Romans 12:12.

In concordance with Paul’s wisdom, prayer plays a central role in everyday life at Redeemer. That is why we have made sure that there is accessible space dedicated to both communal and private prayer on our campus. Located on the second floor of Redeemer’s North wing – a series of three prayer rooms are available year-round for student, staff and faculty use.

Some groups meet at set times for prayer – such as the faculty prayer group and the Church in the Box prayer team. Other groups assemble spontaneously.  For private prayer, the two smaller prayer rooms are always available.

Each space has been intentionally decorated with fabrics and artwork to create a contemplative and inviting atmosphere. Featured in the large prayer room, a beautiful stained glass art-piece hangs in the window. This piece brightly depicts a scene from nature and was graciously donated by the graduating class of 2007.  There is also a handmade cross that hangs on the wall which was made by local woodworker, Bill Prinzen.

Whether you are looking for a place to have quiet reflection or a group devotion, the prayer rooms provide you with a comfortable space to contemplate the wonders of God – and what it means to be joyful in hope, patient in affiliction and faithful in prayer.
