For nearly 40 years Redeemer University has prepared the next generation of Christian leaders. Redeemer is committed to a Christian undergraduate liberal arts and sciences education that develops the whole person.
Rooted in a Reformed Biblical worldview, and including a diverse community representing over 50 Christian denominations, Redeemer seeks to answer the fundamental questions about where we fit into God’s story while it prepares students to engage in society’s biggest challenges. A rigorous academic program with an interdisciplinary core is supported by a vibrant community characterized by caring discipleship. The result is an enriching and transformational educational experience integrating faith, learning and service.
Redeemer offers 34 majors and streams that lead to either a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Business Administration degree. The university expects to welcome about 1000 students in the fall, served by approximately 200 faculty and staff.
Applications are invited by Redeemer University for a tenure-track position in Business to begin July 2023. Candidates must be aligned with and passionate about Redeemer’s Christian mission of integrating faith in teaching and research. Candidates should possess expertise in a range of Business disciplines, especially Marketing. Business is one of the largest academic programs at Redeemer and has had large incoming classes in recent years. Our graduates have the benefits of a liberal arts and sciences core, a broad foundation in business, and then specialize in Accounting, Marketing, Management, or Not-for-Profit Management.
This position carries a teaching load of 6 to 7 courses per year (65% of the position’s responsibilities), with a focus on Management and Marketing. Expertise in other areas of Business, such as Operations Management, International Business, Not-for-Profit Management or Social Enterprise is an asset. In addition, 25% of the position is dedicated to academic research, professional writing (e.g., writing Ivey cases) and/or professional consulting; and 10% of time is devoted to service to the School of Business, University, and wider community. Flexibility exists to vary this breakdown of responsibilities and could include remaining active in industry instead of doing research. Due to two projected retirements within the School of Business over the next few years, we are looking for someone with leadership qualities and administrative gifts who welcomes a challenge.
Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications. Redeemer offers an excellent benefits package, including a pension plan, insurance, and medical/dental coverage. Vacation is generous, starting at four weeks. The rewards of mentoring young people are priceless!
