Course Name: SSC-210: Understanding the World Through the Social Sciences

Course Description

This course explores the ways in which social scientists understand how people function individually and collectively, and the influence of communities, institutions and the social environment in shaping individuals. The course is an important part of Redeemer’s Core curriculum and is scheduled to be taught Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:45, in the winter 2022 term.


  • All duties associated with teaching this course.
  • Scheduled office hours with students.
  • Non-classroom time made up of preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking or grading, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Should possess a relevant Master’s degree or Ph.D.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university-level is preferred.
