Course Name: KPE-313: Motor Learning

Department: Kinesiology and Physical Education

Course Description

This course is an introduction to motor learning. Through the course, students will examine phases of skill acquisition, transfer of learning, training principles, retention of motor skills, and the influence of motivation on the acquisition and rehabilitation of movement. Includes a weekly one-hour lab.

Responsibilities

  • All duties associated with teaching this course.
  • Scheduled office hours with students.
  • Non-classroom time made up of preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking or grading, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Should possess a relevant Master’s degree or Ph.D.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university-level is preferred.
