An introduction to the nature and study of social relationships and social institutions.
We will study human group behaviour in terms of culture, social interaction,
socialization, ethnicity, and gender. We will also analyze the internal dynamics and
external relations of social institutions including the family, church, school, and state.
Last week, the Peter Turkstra Library, in partnership with the Wolters Centre, Lexham Press and 21Five, hosted a the launch of How Then Should We Die? A Christian Response to Physician-Assisted Death by Dr. Ewan Goligher. Dr. Goligher, a practicing physician and elder in the Presbyterian Church of America, shared thoughtfully and critically about this important ethical issue from a Christian perspective.
