Students Travelling Internationally
Any students, including Canadians, who are crossing international boundaries for any reason this summer must complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine before arriving at Redeemer. Please keep the following dates in mind as you make plans.
New Student Move-in:
Returning Student Move-in:
The Government of Canada requires that all travellers coming into Canada from another country quarantine for 14 days. This includes those coming from the USA. It is highly recommended to complete the quarantine period at a trusted family/friend’s place. If this is not possible, arrangements can be made to quarantine at Redeemer by contacting Bethany Davis to make arrangements.
If you are an international student who has remained in Canada, you will not be required to complete the quarantine period.
New Redeemer students will need to arrive in Canada by August 19, 2020 at the latest to complete their quarantine in time for International Student orientation, which will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2020. If you are a new Redeemer student and require transportation upon your arrival to Canada, please let us know and we can make arrangements for you. Please contact your admissions counsellor for more details.
Returning students will need to arrive in Canada by August 24, 2020 at the latest to complete their quarantine in time for the first day of classes (September 8/9).
Study Permits and Screening
You will be screened before you board your flight to Canada. Upon arrival in Canada, you will need to produce documentation that you are exempt from the travel restrictions. You must provide a valid study permit or a port of entry letter of introduction for customs officials that shows you have been approved for a study permit before or on March 18, 2020. You will also have a health assessment at the port of entry upon arriving in Canada.
We look forward to welcoming you to Canada!
