Why a Food Drive?
Neighbour to Neighbour Centre is on the front lines of the war on poverty. It’s a crucial lifeline for people who are marginalized, disenfranchised and poor.
Redeemer believes that good citizens contribute to the community in which they are a part. We want our students to practice good citizenship throughout their university career, starting with supporting the Neighbour to Neighbour Centre through a community food drive during their first week at Redeemer.
Please help us support those in need as well as teach our students the value of community service by donating generously.
How to Donate:
On Monday, September 6th, our students will be delivering a flyer and paper grocery bag to over 4,000 homes in the Meadowlands. Simply fill this grocery bag with non-perishable food items and place it on your front porch by 5pm on Friday, September 10th for pick-up.
Rain Date:
We will postpone the collection if we deem it is unsafe for our students to be outside. If it is raining, please visit www.redeemer.ca/fooddrive to see if we are still coming by to collect. Our revised collection date would be Saturday, Sept. 11th at 10 a.m.
Help us reach our goal of 10,000 pounds of food!
The new students of LAUNCH 2021 hope to collect over 10,000 pounds of food. Over the past nine years, a total of over 78,000 pounds of food has been collected for Neighbour to Neighbour.
