You are invited to Dr. Sean Schat‘s tenure colloquium, What We Believe Shapes What We Do: Toward a Vision for a Distinctively Christian Philosophy of Education. Dr. Schat is a faculty member in Redeemer’s School of Education.

All teacher behaviours and practices are rooted in a teacher’s beliefs about teaching and learning, their philosophy of education. While there are many things that can influence a teacher’s beliefs and practices, their philosophy of education should emerge directly from their foundational worldview or beliefs system, and should serve as a touchstone for all that they do (e.g., curriculum, instruction, assessment, feedback, etc.).

The colloquium will be hosted on November 1 at 7 p.m. in the Executive Dining Room (EDR). You can also join via Zoom: https://redeemer-ca.zoom.us/j/86733974135?pwd=Pvb9uvKistsqFbrN3bUQplpJs4F3c9.1.
