Course Name: FRE 101: Beginner’s French I

Course Description

An introductory course for students with little or no knowledge of French. The everyday functional use of grammar and vocabulary is stressed through an audio-visual approach. A minimum of one hour per week is devoted to oral and written exercises outside of the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • All duties associated with teaching this course.
  • Scheduled office hours with students.
  • Non-classroom time made up of preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking or grading, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Should possess a relevant Master’s degree or Ph.D.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university-level is preferred.
