Robert Van Hartingsveldt Memorial Bursary:
This award has been established in memory of Robert Van Hartingsveldt ‘95, known for his gifts in music and bringing people together. The award, valued at $1,500 or more, will be given annually to a returning student with musical gifts and a heart for all people.
Donations to the Cornerstone Program contribute directly to financial aid for students in the form of scholarships, bursaries, loans and work-study (part-time on-campus employment).
Support for students:
- helps to ensure Redeemer is an affordable option
- allows students to achieve their educational goals
- encourages students to participate fully in campus life
- reduces debt loan upon graduation
Cornerstone Partners contribute a minimum of $1,500 a year, the value of the average scholarship or bursary at Redeemer. For fund / designation, select “1.1 Cornerstone Program”
Named awards, both scholarships (merit-based) and bursaries (based on financial need), may be funded at Redeemer in recognition of an individual, family or business. Additional terms may be established, including criteria such as program area and level, leadership and service commitments, and vocational goals.
Annual awards: Minimum contribution of $1,500 a year for at least three years.
Endowed awards: Minimum contribution of $30,000 invested to generate an annual award disbursement. Disbursements are approximately 75 percent of the four-year rolling average of endowment earnings. See the listing of current named awards on pages 29 – 43 of Redeemer’s Academic Calendar.
