Charles Meeks is a Sessional Assistant Professor of Religion and Theology at Redeemer. His research interests are varied, but always centre on his love for the biblical text, the church, and how we become like Christ in our relationship with him. He earned a Ph.D. in Theology from Wycliffe College, where he completed a thesis explaining how the way we worship as the church, the way we read Scripture, and the way we think about the Trinity should be interrelated. He completed his M.A. at Asbury Theological Seminary, where he primarily studied the New Testament, the history of exegesis, and biblical archaeology. During his B.A. at Houghton College, he was a ministry major. He grew up in North Carolina (and has strong opinions on barbecue), has pastored in Australia (and will forever love Tim Tams), and moved to downtown Hamilton in 2018 (where he has strong opinions on coffee), where he lives with his wife Amy and dog Zeno. You might see him zipping around on his bike, or playing disc golf.
