About
What is the role of emotion in soul care? More specifically, how can a Christian worldview inform the ways that we understand and work with emotion to facilitate healing and flourishing in the face of suffering? These are the core questions that motivate my academic and clinical interests. Through the rediscovery and application of the historical resources of the Christian church (e.g., Biblical wisdom, key theological insights, and spiritual disciplines), I hope to contribute to the development and testing of distinctively Christian theories and methods of counseling and psychotherapy in order to further equip the church in its calling to “speak the truth in love” (Eph. 4:15).
