About

Dr. Nathan Campbell brings over 20 years of experience in sports medicine to his role at Redeemer University, where he joined the faculty in 2024. He is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Kinesiologist, specializing in the treatment and prevention of injuries among athletes and active individuals.

Prior to starting at Redeemer, Dr. Campbell spent 12 years teaching at the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College, where he played key roles such as Program Coordinator for the Fitness and Health Promotions Program and Assistant Program Head of the Kinesiology Program. He earned his PhD from Western University, focusing on concussion research. Dr. Campbell’s research interests focus on the biomechanical and neurological factors influencing concussion injury and concussion management, as well as the socioeconomic impact of concussion injury across the lifespan.

Dr. Campbell resides in the Waterloo Region with his wife, Victoria, and their three children. They are an active family, participating in a wide range of sports and outdoor activities including camping, boating, kayaking, biking, rock climbing, cheerleading, soccer, and fastball.
