Redeemer University College is pleased to announce the appointment of Fred Verwoerd, CPA, CMA, as interim president. Verwoerd is currently serving as vice president, administration and finance at Redeemer and has experience in the Christian education field through his role as chair of the board for the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools.
“With broad knowledge and experience across Redeemer, both academically and administratively, Mr. Verwoerd is very well placed to assist us in transition to a new president,” said Karl Veldkamp, board chair. “The board of governors is grateful that Mr. Verwoerd is willing to provide interim leadership for Redeemer and is confident that he will ably see the institution through to its next president.”
The board is targeting September 1, 2017 as the desired start date for the next president.
