Greetings Redeemer Alumni,
I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know about some recent changes to the Alumni Council as well as some exciting plans for alumni this fall. First, we are saying goodbye to two of our Alumni Council members – Nick Janssen ‘12, and Luke McKee ‘14. We are so sad to see Nick and Luke go. They both brought so much to the team and really have a heart for Redeemer alumni and the mission of Redeemer. Thank you, Nick and Luke! With their departure, however, comes two new Alumni Council members. We want to introduce everyone to Shams Siddiqi ‘19 and Daniel Vander Hout ‘21! Shams and Daniel will begin their term on Council officially at our June Alumni Council meeting.
While this year has been very strange, we are hopeful that the fall will be a return to normal (or at least a version of normal!) With that in mind, we want you to be sure to participate in Alumni Week – November 1-6, with the Open House being the grand finale on November 6! You won’t want to miss it. More details on these events will be provided in late August, so stay tuned!
As always, the Alumni Council continues to meet (virtually) and give advice and feedback on how the university can remain engaged with us as alumni. We also continue with our committee work, which includes being part of the Distinguished Alumni Award selection process, evaluating and ranking the Alumni Award Fund applicants for the scholarships and bursaries given out each year, and carrying out the various alumni events and reunions. If you have any questions about Alumni Council, you can always reach out to us at alumnicouncil@redeemer.ca.
Blessings,
Leanna Nightingale ’18
