Prof. Phil Irish’s latest exhibition, Precipice, has been selected by Canadian Art magazine as a must-see! This show will be Irish’s first in Hamilton.

Irish’s exhibition, of works which hover between painting and collage, opens at B Contemporary on December 11 at 7 p.m. The show will run from the 11th to the 24th of December. Irish will host an artist talk on Sunday, January 17th at 2 p.m.

Irish is known for his architecturally scaled, painterly assemblages. This exhibition foregrounds his smaller aluminum constructions. A rich sense of painterly process meets the ferocity of slicing, extracting, and assembling. Out of the shards, new possibilities arise.

The exhibition was also covered in The Spec and in the Guelph Mercury.
