Redeemer was officially congratulated in the Ontario Legislature on December 10, 2008. Sophia Aggelonitis, Member of Provincial Parliament for Hamilton Mountain read a Member’s Statement praising Redeemer for the excellent student ratings it received in 2008 as part of the Globe and Mail ‘s University Report Card. Ms Aggelonitis noted that the results of the student surveys “clearly show that Redeemer’s overall results are among the best in the country which is a real credit to the faculty, students, administration and supporters of this undergraduate university.” Redeemer has developed relationships, and continues to work, with leaders of all levels of government, on wide variety of issues that are of mutual concern and interest. Although much of this work goes on behind the scenes, we are grateful for moments like these when we are recognized publicly for the contributions that Redeemer makes to the public good.
