The President Search Committee met on February 22 in order to re-engage the process of searching for our next President. Although it is disappointing that our preferred candidate has chosen not to proceed further, this is not unusual in searches of this nature. We continue to be prayerful and thoughtful in the manner in which we proceed. We are optimistic about the options that we have before us as we carefully review candidates that were on our original list as well as new candidates that we have become aware of.

When we began this process we were committed to finding the next President of Redeemer, confident that God would lead us to that individual. We continue to trust that God is at work in this process and is preparing a candidate for this role as well as preparing Redeemer for our next leader. We continue to be thankful for the leadership of JobfitMatters, who has been through this experience before, and feel confident in the next steps we have developed together.

The Committee asks that you continue to pray for the search process. In particular:

  • Give thanks that the Committee feels good about the process that we have been through and that the initial round of interviews went well and provided the information that was required to determine the fit of our candidates with Redeemer.
  • Give thanks for the candidates who have expressed interest, and continue to express interest, in this process.
  • Pray that God will lead us to the right candidate and continue to work through the whole process of our search.
