On the weekend of November 19-22, Redeemer hosted a long distance visit weekend for prospective students and interested parents. Free meals and accommodations were offered alongside travel subsidies for flights or gas. Visitors flocked to the school from across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northern Ontario and even New York.
The jam-packed weekend combined a typical Monday or Friday campus visit day with an extended program of activities. Visitors were able to tour the campus, meet with professors and students, sit in on classes and spend the nights in a dormitory. Other highlights included a trip to Niagara Falls, a Church-in-the-Box service and varsity basketball home games.
There is nothing quite like an up-close-and-personal trip to Redeemer’s campus to see if it is the right school. The long distance visit weekend is offered once a year, ordinarily in November. More information about the weekend, and other visiting options is available at www.redeemer.ca/visit.
